PHOTOGRAPHIC TECHNIQUES

LOW VANTAGE POINT: Picture taken from a low point of view to show how high a structure is.

LEADING LINES: It's a technique that makes use of the surroundings and frame used by the photographers to draw attention on the object in focus.

HIGH CONTRAST: Is used to create dark areas in a picture. To create contrast to light.

RULE OF THIRDS: I divide my photo into 3 horizontally and vertically, I've tried to put points of interest where the lines on the thirds occur.

CRITICAL LINKS

BINET + HERVE: I've looked at these artists because their work creates contrast, mostly uses pictures in black and white also this makes the images look like dramatic.

DAVID CARSON: I looked at David Carson because he makes his designs on top of each other, to show there's a lot of things going on in his art.

PAULA SCHER: Her art is based on bright colours, and based on bold text

High contrast; I used the roof of the building and made it darker compared to the sky, as a result the picture has high contrast.

DAVID CARSON DESIGN2.jpg

My Pula Scher design is successful because I made us of leading lines and fitted the text in the small amount of dark space.

I've made well use of space and managed to use the large text on the sky.
